MediaBank Dragon's Den

Saturday 4th September 2010 11am until 3pm
Epic Youth Café, Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton

We are giving young people across the West Midlands one last chance to pitch their ideas in the chance to be considered for one of our last MediaBank Bursaries.

The MediaBank Bursary offers disadvantaged 13 to 19 year-olds the opportunity to develop and produce creative media projects, using film, television, print, radio, games, interactive or online platforms. It enables young people to express their own opinions, ideas and views, to gain new skills, to be creative, boost their personal development and get their voices heard.

Young people have the opportunity to pitch their idea in a five minute presentation to our panel of young decision makers, Dragons Den style.

In your pitch you will need to tell us:

• The name of your project
• What type of media you would like to use (film, television, print, radio, games, interactive or online platforms)
• What the project is about?
• What issue you would like to talk about? (An issue is not necessarily a problem)
• Why you want to do this project and how will it benefit you and the community?
• Which of the Every Child Matters Outcomes your project will meet? (Be healthy, Stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and/or achieve economic well being)
• What skills would you like to learn?
• Give details of any specific equipment or materials you may need to make your project happen.

After your pitch the panel may ask you questions about your project.

You will need to contact us to arrange a time slot on the day; we will make all our decisions on the day and will let you know the following week as to the outcome of your pitch.
